In 2009 Mr. Lovett will celebrate his 31st year in the Executive Search industry specializing in C level candidates, Presidents, Vice Presidents, Directors and specialized Technology and Finance Professionals across diverse industries. During his career he has performed over 500 executive searches for well-known Fortune 100 companies, academia and non profits, private equity firms, family-owned businesses and privately held companies. ?? In 1988 Mr. Lovett founded Lovett and Lovett Executive Search and is President and Sr. Partner.
He has extensive experience in the development and engagement of client Executive Search plans to establish and optimize selection of the most qualified professional for employment. His search process involves meeting with client executives to establish search criteria; identifying, qualifying and interviewing potential applicants; and successfully placing the most qualified executives in client organizations.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1978, Mr. Lovett began his career and spent 10 years with the offices of Morgan and Reynolds as a Senior Executive Search Consultant and Director. Mr. Lovett’s experience includes conducting executive searches in the Defense Industry, Biotech, Consumer Products, Advanced Manufacturing, Professional Services, Technology, Industrial, Forest Products, Education, Foundations, Non-Profits and others.
Mr. Lovett is a member of the AESC; Association of Executive Search Consultants, a worldwide association for retained search consulting firms. He was chosen by Microsoft Corporation as an expert in the search industry and participated as an expert witness on Microsoft´s behalf in several high-profile wrongful termination lawsuits involving ex-corporate executives. ?
Mr. Lovett is active in the community having served on numerous policy and charitable boards. He currently serves on the Dayton Art Institute Associate Board. He chaired the art museum’s 2007 50th anniversary Art Ball which was a highly successful fund-raising event. In addition, he is the 2009 President of the Board of Trustees for the Dayton Country Club and headed the House Committee in 2007 and 2006. Mr. Lovett also serves on Congressman Mike Turner’s Congressional Advisory Committee. Previous community work included Vice Chair for the Board of Trustees of the Sinclair Community College Foundation and Associate Director of I-Zone, a Dayton entrepreneur assistance non-profit organization. Mr. Lovett is a past member of the Dayton Business Committee, and served on the Public Policy and Wright Patterson 2010 teams for the Dayton Development Coalition.
